In the tropical rainforest, days are usually rainy. It gets heavy rainfall all year round. The heat here is year round because most of the tropical rainforests are around the equator. Also, the forests are very dense with tall trees in the canopy, and small bushes on the ground. Tropical Rainforests are found on the windward side (the side from which direction the wind comes from) of mountains. Tropical rainforests may vary between rainforests in the Central Amazon with tall, 300 year old trees, and rainforests in which trees only reach near 70 years of age.
There are many different organisms in the tropical rainforest. In the Moneran kingdom, the type of bacteria are Agrobacterium tumefaciens .There are many organisms from the Protist kingdom in the Tropical Rainforest biome. Some examples of a tropical rainforest protazoans, are flagellites, Plasmodium,and Thallasiosira. Along with protists, there are many varieties of fungi, such as jelly fungi, gilled fungi, coral fungi, stinkhorn fungi, bracket fungi, organ pipe fungi, toothed fungi, and slime mold. From the Plant kingdom, there are very different species, from bamboo, to palm trees, to wild orchids, to banana trees.There is also a huge variety of animals in the tropical rainforest biome. Some of which include grasshoppers, parrots, chimpanzees, toucans, butterflies, tree frogs, pythons, moths, leopards, and even wood ants.
